With the 182nd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected RB Cyrus Gray from Texas A&M.
Scouts Inc. assigned a rating of 50 to Gray and ranked him as the 14th best running back.
You can see his school profile here.
Gray put up huge numbers with the Aggies, having put up over 5,000 all-purpose yards, just the second player to ever do that at Texas A&M.
GM Scott Pioli continues to bring in players that will take care of the depth issues that have plagued the Chiefs. Gray had trouble staying healthy in college, but clearly showed he can put up big plays, making him the perfect part time option behind Jamaal Charles and Peyton Hillis.
A more durable Gray would have easily gone in the second round, making this another example of Kansas City getting great value.
