It doesn’t look like any current or former Kansas City Chief will walk away the winner at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty on the line in the final round of play on Sunday.
Chiefs head coach Todd Haley is currently in 66th place. That’s better than the man he replaced Herm Edwards (69th) and his quarterback Matt Cassel (78th).
Haley also has a chance to break away from Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow (T66th) and maybe even catch former Chiefs RB Marcus Allen (46th).
Odds are he won’t be able to catch his former boss, Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt (22nd). Being beaten so badly by Whisenhunt will likely hurt much more than taking down Cassel will be fulfilling.
The highest ranking former Chief entering the final round of play is defending champion Billy Joe Tolliver (16th).
The worst two rounds were put together by former QB Trent Green (82nd). The only people that have put up worse numbers so far have been Charles Barkley, Jimmer Fredette and Jay Demarcus.
