For the first time in over two years, I put the laptop away for a week and stayed away from all things sports. Obviously the current NFL lockout made such a move easy to take, maybe even necessary. As we’ve talked about plenty around here, there’s only so much you can speculate about the future of the country’s most popular game.
Now that the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has done away with a previous order lifting the lockout, yet not overly favorable to either side, hopefully we can finally get back to actual football. Remember, we are less that one month from the scheduled Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.
With both sides working on hammering out a new CBA, I look forward to breaking down “The Right 53″, including a debate about if the Kansas City Chiefs should carry two fullbacks or where rookie Ricky Stanzi will end up on the depth chart.
Enough with the court room… bring on the football field.
