When the Kansas City Chiefs hit the road to play the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, it’s looking more and more like it will be without CB Brandon Flowers. He was absent from practice on Wednesday and Kent Babb reports things didn’t look any better on Thursday.
Brandon Flowers was again out. Doubt he’ll play. Bad news.
However, after practice Babb delivered a nugget that could leave hope alive for Flowers lining up against the Seahawks.
I saw Brandon Flowers (hamstring) in the locker room, and he didn’t appear to be walking with a limp.
First and foremost, give thanks for Babb working his tail off out at practice today when he very well could have spent the day in front of the TV.
The Seahawks might not be a team that can sling the ball around the field, but that doesn’t make me feel any better about the Chiefs defense continuing to piece together the defensive backfield. If you shift Javier Arenas to start opposite Brandon Carr, that means a guy like Donald Washington will be pushed into full time nickel corner duty, a situation that should make every fan nervous.
