Kansas City Chiefs guard Brian Waters is a finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.
The other finalists are LB Londeon Fletcher of the Redskins and WR/S Mike Furrey of the Browns.
The winner of the award will be announced prior to kickoff of Super Bowl XLIV.
Waters is trying to become the fourth Chiefs player to receive the honor, joining LB Willie Lanier (1972), QB Len Dawson (1973), LB Derrick Thomas (1993) and G Will Shields (2003). Waters was a finalist for the award two years ago.
What a great acknowledgment for Waters to be a finalist for such an amazing award. If Waters wins, the Chiefs will be represented at the Super Bowl in the pre and post game. Waters would be honored before kickoff and Len Dawson will be part of the Vince Lombardi trophy presentation after the game.
