The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of eight inactive players for today’s game against the Oakland Raiders and the only surprise is the order of the quarterbacks. Todd Haley has decided to flop Tyler Palko and Brodie Croyle for the first time this season.
WR Quinten Lawrence, DB Donald Washington, FB Mike Cox, S Reshard Langford, LB Charlie Anderson, C Rudy Niswanger, DL Anthony Toribio and QB Brodie Croyle.
No real shocks here. The only surprise is Palko flipping with Croyle, but if you’ve been around here all week, we told you Haley’s recycling of the season message of this week’s game being the most important of the season didn’t jive with the facts. Haley is so worried about injuries that he doesn’t want to leave his backup QB vulnerable to injury. Yup, most interesting game of the year alright.
Seeing Niswanger still inactive is a little surprising, since that likely means Casey Wiegmann will play the entire game. The veteran has taken over 10,000 consecutive snaps and barring an injury it looks like that streak isn’t going to end today against the Raiders.
