Former Kansas City Chiefs OT Herb Taylor has signed with the Denver Broncos.
The roster spot was open due to Ryan Harris being placed on injured reserve with a toe injury.
Taylor is a third-year tackle who entered the NFL with Kansas City as a sixth-round selection (196th overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was waived by the Chiefs at the end of 2009 training camp. Taylor appeared in 18 games (1 start), including all 16 contests in 2008, with the Chiefs. As a rookie in 2007, Taylor played in two games, was declared inactive for 11 games and dressed but did not play in three outings for Kansas City.
At Texas Christian University, Taylor helped the Horned Frogs to an 11-2 record and a win in the Poinsettia Bowl as a senior. He earned first-team All-Mountain West recognition as a senior left tackle after garnering the same recognition as a junior right tackle. Taylor set a TCU record by making 48 consecutive starts. He was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team and received honorable mention freshman All-America accolades.
