The Kansas City Chiefs are the NFL’s last remaining unbeaten team and will welcome the 3-4 Cleveland Browns to Arrowhead Stadium Sunday. Not surprisingly, the home team finds themselves as one of the biggest favorites in the league this weekend.
This is the seventh time in eight weeks the Chiefs find themselves favored by oddsmakers and despite a close game against the Houston Texans, the spread is more than it was last week.
The Chiefs were only seven point favorites against the struggling Texans and as another staggered team visits Arrowhead that number has gone up to nine.
Cleveland had won three straight games behind the strong play of QB Brian Hoyer, but with him sidelined by an injury the Browns have dropped back-to-back games. Now a week after seeing the Texans start third-string QB Case Keenum, the Chiefs will get either Brandon Weeden or their old friend Jason Campbell under center.
Considering the line didn’t move last week when the Texans made their decision, I wouldn’t expect anything the Browns do to change things. That means heading into the weekend you’ll be giving nine points if you want to take the Chiefs.
Despite not covering last week, it’s hard to see them have another let down against a team they should easily handle at home.
