The Kansas City Chiefs waived CB Buddy Jackson earlier this week and he never made it to the free agent pool. The Pittsburgh Steelers were awarded Jackson on waivers.
Jackson landed with the Chiefs via a waiver claim of their own back in May after the New York Giants parted ways with the cornerback. He started his career with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent last season before moving on to the Washington Redskins.
After the Chiefs waived Jackson, they filled his roster spot with CB Kamaal McIlwain.
To make room on the roster for the former University of Pittsburgh star, the Steelers waived rookie long snapper Luke Ingram.
