Eric Fisher, Tyson Jackson Unable To Practice

As the Kansas City Chiefs try to bounce back with a win against the San Diego Chargers this weekend, they may be without several key players along the offensive and defensive lines.

Defensive ends Mike Devito and Tyson Jackson both sat out Wednesday’s practice, potentially testing the Chiefs depth along the line. They also had to be without starting right tackle Eric Fisher and only had guard Jon Asamoah on a limited basis.

All four players are brand new additions to the report with injuries suffered in Sunday night’s loss to the Denver Broncos.

Head coach Andy Reid called Devito, Fisher and Jackson “day-to-day”, while saying Asamoah is dealing with calf spasms and a shoulder contusion, but still managed to give it a go.

The Chiefs also added LB Derrick Johnson to the injury report with a sore wrist, but it didn’t prevent him from practicing fully. The same goes for rookie S Sanders Commings, who made his NFL debut against the Broncos but is still nursing his shoulder injury.

The Chargers are dealing with plenty of their own injuries. San Diego listed ten players, including WR Eddie Royal. The play maker has made it a habit of sitting our practice but playing on Sundays for the Chargers since injuring his toe in a Week 6 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
