Kyle Orton, Ryan Lilja Active vs. Bears

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of seven inactive players for today’s game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.  Two names you won’t see are G Ryan Lilja and QB Kyle Orton, both are dressed and active after sitting out last week’s matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Inactive:

DL Brandon Bair, T David Mims, TE Jake O’Connell, NT Jerrell Powe, QB Ricky Stanzi, DB Donald Washington, LB Demorrio Williams

With Lilja and Orton active, their spots on the inactive list are taken by the recently promoted Mims and third-string QB Stanzi, respectively.  If Lilja has a setback during the game, that will push rookie Rodney Hudson back into his spot and leave little-used Steve Maneri as the only reserve offensive lineman.

Even though they Chiefs have Orton on the game day roster doesn’t mean he will see the field.  It still appears disappointing Tyler Palko will line up under center to start the game and considering he wasn’t pulled last week despite four turnovers, the same thing could happen against the Bears.
