Jon McGraw Upgraded, Javier Arenas Downgraded

The players on the Kansas City Chiefs injury report didn’t change on Thursday, but two swapped designations.  Safety Jon McGraw went from a limited participant to full, while cornerback Javier Arenas went the other direction and was downgraded from full to limited.

McGraw missed last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins due to a shoulder injury, but he seems poised to get back out on the field Sunday against the Denver Broncos.  Expect to see the veteran listed as probable when the Chiefs release their final injury report on Friday.

After first popping up on the injury report last Friday with an ankle injury and then missing last week’s game, Arenas looked like he would be able to return as he was listed as a full participant Wednesday.  Now that he’s been downgraded to limited, the second-year corner is much more of a question mark, though according to the Chiefs official site, he is optimistic about facing Denver.

The only other injured player for the Chiefs, LB Demorrio Williams, once again missed practice and should be considered a long shot to dress on Sunday.

Denver saw three of their injured players get upgraded from limited to full participants, including safety Brian Dawkins who should have no trouble hitting the field against the Chiefs offense.
