There was a player awarded to the Kansas City Chiefs on waivers Wednesday and, no, it wasn’t one of the higher profile players to hit the wire this season, DE Jason Babin.
GM Scott Pioli didn’t put in a claim on the pass rusher that played seven games in Kansas City back in 2008, who landed with the equally inept Jacksonville Jaguars. Pioli did, however, claim G Hayworth Hicks from the New York Jets.
Hicks entered the league as an undrafted free agent this offseason with the Indianapolis Colts and moved on when the Jets added him to their 53-man roster on Nov 7, but didn’t appear in any games with Gang Green. He takes the roster spot that was created when the Chiefs waived veteran LB Bryan Kehl.
