Of the seven players the Kansas City Chiefs were awarded on waivers Sunday, four came from the NFC West and two were from the Seattle Seahawks. Along with TE Sean McGrath, the Chiefs added CB Ron Parker.
Parker was an undrafted free agent from Newberry College in 2011 when he caught on with the Seahawks. When he was cut in Seattle, Parker moved onto the Oakland Raiders, where he appeared in three games before being released.
After his time in Oakland, Parker returned to Seattle and played in two games. In 2012, the cornerback played in five games with the Carolina Panthers and then again with the Seahawks.
Parker, along with Marcus Cooper, will add depth behind Brandon Flowers, Sean Smith and Dunta Robinson.
