Jamaal Charles Upgraded On Chiefs Injury Report

The Kansas City Chiefs got some good news Thursday when RB Jamaal Charles returned to practice after sitting out the day before. The quad injury the team was treating cautiously doesn’t seem to be something that will keep him out of Sunday’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

However, just as they got Charles back on the field, the Chiefs lost TE Travis Kelce. The rookie was unable to play last week due to a lingering knee injury, practiced on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday was held out completely.

The rest of the Chiefs injury report stayed the same. That means G Jon Asamoah and LB Nico Johnson — both inactive last week — are poised to get back in the lineup Thursday.

CB Dunta Robinson missed practice for personal reasons, and like DE Allen Bailey last week, his healthy won’t play a role in his availability.

The Cowboys have QB Tony Romo and WR Dez Bryant still on the injury report, but both were again full participants. Despite rib and foot injuries, respectively, the Kansas City defense will need to prepare to face Romo and Bryant.

Dallas did downgrade DE Anthony Spencer, who was unable to practice Thursday after participating on a limited basis Wednesday.

Here are the full injury reports for both teams.
