Six Players On Chiefs First Injury Report

The Kansas City Chiefs first injury report of the 2012 season is out and there are some of the team’s best players included. The good news, however, is that both of those players — Brandon Flowers and Derrick Johnson — are expected to give it a go Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.

With Flowers and his replacement, Jalil Brown, both limited in practice, the Chiefs have to be concerned about their defense headed into Week 1. They will already be without the suspended Tamba Hali and can little afford to try and cover Roddy White and Julio Jones with the likes of Javier Arenas and Jacques Reeves.

While the Chiefs have a total of six players on their injury report, the Falcons are sporting just two names on theirs and neither will have an impact on Sunday’s game even if they are able to suit up.
