Chiefs Injury Report Grows To Five

The Kansas City Chiefs were back on practice field Wednesday to get ready for this weekend’s game against the Seattle Seahawks but were without a handful of important players, according to their injury report.

Tony Moeaki

Limited Participant
Dexter McCluster (ankle)
Jon McGraw (knee/head)
Brian Waters (groin)

Full Participant
Kendrick Lewis (hamstring)

Judging by how bad Moeaki looked after the hit he took on the onside kick from Denver LB Joe Mays along with the league’s strict rules regarding concussions I wouldn’t expect to see the rookie back on the field anytime soon.

All three limited players would be sorely missed against the Cardinals.   We have seen over the last few weeks how much the Chiefs offense misses the versatility of McCluster and the Broncos showed what happens when you have no depth at safety.  Rookie G Jon Asamoah has filled in adequately for Waters, who was already dealing with a shoulder issue, but the Kansas City offense has enough issues without losing their best lineman.

After seeing the Broncos throw deep on the Chiefs all day long Sunday, it will be a welcome sight to see Lewis lining up next to Eric Berry once again at safety.
