Jamaal Charles Sits Out Chiefs Practice

The Kansas City Chiefs were one of the healthiest teams in the NFL last week, but things aren’t going to be nearly as well for Andy Reid’s squad as they prepare for the Buffalo Bills.

Not only is the injury report longer than it was last week, but the headliner is RB Jamaal Charles. The electric playmaker was unable to practice as he rests a sore knee that nearly knocked him out of Kansas City’s win over the Cleveland Browns.

Charles is expected to play Sunday, but the knee trouble is just part of a long list of ailments the Chiefs best player has had to fight through so far this season. If he keeps carrying the offense without any help, it will be hard to keep him on the field each Sunday.

Other new additions to the injury report are WR Donnie Avery, DE Mike Catapano, OT Eric Fisher and TE Sean McGrath. Catapano has already been ruled out for this weekend, but the other three were full participants.

Another name to watch as the week goes on is WR Dwayne Bowe. He missed time last week before suiting up in the win over the Browns but only managing to catch one pass for seven yards.

The Buffalo Bills have less players on their initial injury report, but it includes their top two quarterbacks, running backs and No. 1 wide receiver.
