After trading Tank Tyler to the Carolina Panthers yesterday, the Kansas City Chiefs filled his roster spot by re-signing LB Justin Rogers, according to Aaron Wilson at National Football Post.
Rogers signed last week after RB Jackie Battle was put on IR and then released three days later after the Chiefs promoted OT Barry Richardson from the practice squad.
With Richardson still on the active roster that leaves an open spot on the practice squad.
Rogers obviously wasn’t in town long enough for anyone to know just what he could be, but for Scott Pioli and Todd Haley to keep him in town between transactions they have to think highly of him.
Apparently Rogers has yet to be re-signed by the team. Wilson reported the move and NFL.com even lists it on their transactions, but the Chiefs have a full 53-man roster on their site without Rogers.
