The Kansas City Chiefs announced their list of seven inactive players for today’s game in Washington and as expected they’ll be without three starters.
OT Branden Albert, QB Tyler Bray, TE Anthony Fasano, LB Justin Houston, DT Jaye Howard, OL Rishaw Johnson, C Eric Kush
Albert and Fasano were hurt during last week’s loss to the Denver Broncos and were ruled out by the team late this week after they were unable to practice. Donald Stephenson will move over from right tackle to take Albert’s spot on the left side as he did last week, with first overall pick Eric Fisher starting on the right side.
Albert’s injury will also get reserve lineman Rokevious Watkins to dress for his first game with the Chiefs. Considering Fisher has dealt will plenty of his own injuries, he could find his way onto the field if Andy Reid has to do any more shuffling on the offensive line.
Sean McGrath (and his beard) will start in place of Fasano, something he’s all too familiar doing. With the Chiefs down a tight end, recently promoted Dominique Jones is active and should expect to see a lot of work, even if it’s just as an extra blocker in the nasty weather conditions.
