The Kansas City Chiefs made a minor roster move on Saturday, by adding WR Junior Hemingway to their practice squad and releasing OL Rich Ranglin.
Swapping out Ranglin for Hemingway reverses the move they made on Monday. After wanting to have an extra lineman around for practice this week, GM Scott Pioli quickly got Hemingway, a 2012 seventh-round pick, back in the fold.
Just as we figured the Chiefs would bring Hemingway back at some point, don’t be surprised if Ranglin also gets another call. It’s not rare for players to constantly fly on and off the practice squad, so we should expect to see more moves like this as the season goes along.
The Chiefs once again have three wide receivers on the practice squad with Hemingway joining Josh Bellamy and Jamar Newsome.
