The Kansas City Chiefs have signed undrafted free agent CB Demond Washington from Auburn University.
He announced his three-year deal via Twitter.

You’d be hard pressed to find too many players more versatile than Washington among the undrafted crop. Playing corner for the national champion Tigers, Washington also served as their primary kick returner. His 1,117 return yards ranked fourth in the country during his senior season.
Before making his way to Auburn for two seasons, Washington was one of the best junior college players in the country. During his freshman year he was a running back and averaged a Jamaal Charles-esque 6.87 yards per carry. All told Washington picked up 1,182 yards and 12 touchdowns on 172 carries.
He followed up that season with a turn on defense. He picked off three passes, taking all three back for touchdowns.
Washington was adequate in the Auburn secondary, but has a lot of work to do before he can help Romeo Crennel on defense. That means he’ll have to make his name on special teams if he hopes to stick with the Chiefs.
