After sitting with an open spot on their practice squad since putting Matt Cassel on IR, the Kansas City Chiefs once again have a full roster. They signed OL Rob Bruggeman and WR Zeke Markshausen to the practice squad on Wednesday, taking the spots vacated by WR Jeremy Horne and OL David Mims who were both promoted to the active roster.
Bruggemann was an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Bucs in 2009 but didn’t find his way into a game until last season with the Atlanta Falcons. He also appeared in one game for the Falcons this season as well, before being released.
Markshausen spent training camp with the Chiefs this season, making his way all the way to final cuts. The wide receiver is used to being a long shot, having walked on at Northwestern and working his way to one of the best seasons the school ever saw when he hauled in 91 catches for 858 yards. He spent part of 2010 training camp with the Bears and was out of football the rest of the season.
