The shuffling continues with the depth of the Kansas City Chiefs offensive line as the team signed free agent Rokevious Watkins.
A 2012 fifth-round pick of the St. Louis Rams, Watkins played in just one game as a rookie though he was hampered by an ankle injury. He is facing a one-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Before he ever hit the field for the Chiefs, there was one player very familiar with Watkins. S Eric Berry and his brothers attended the same high school as Watkins in Georgia.
To make room on the roster for Watkins, the Chiefs waived OT Mike Tepper. He was signed just two days earlier after OL Colin Kelly was waived with an injury.
