The Chiefs have signed undrafted free agent C Andrew Lewis from Oklahoma State.
Scouts Inc. assigned a rating of 30 to Lewis and ranked him as the 11th center.
You can check out his Oklahoma State profile here.
Lewis started at both guard and center for the Cowboys his final three seasons in Stillwater. He was a first-team academic all-Big 12 selection in 2008 and also received his degree over a year early in December of that year.
During the Oklahoma State pro day he ran a 4.62 40-yard dash, had a 42.5 vertical and 24 reps on the bench press.
A local kid from Joplin, MO, Lewis will have trouble holding onto a roster spot after the Chiefs signed Casey Wiegmann, Ryan Lilja and drafting Jon Asamoah. But like many of the newest Chiefs, he fits the profile of what Scott Pioli is looking for with his intelligence and versatility.
