Following the draft on Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs signed undrafted free agent OL Lemuel Jeanpierre from South Carolina.
You can check out his South Carolina profile here.
Jeanpierre (6-3, 301) appeared in 36 games (21 starts) at South Carolina. The Orlando, Florida native earned all-state honors as a prep standout at Timber Creek High School.
Played on the defensive side of the ball in his first two seasons at Carolina before making the transition to the offensive line in the final week of the 2007 spring session.
The Chiefs are probably all set on the interior of the offensive line, but Jeanpierre does bring a special kind of versatility to the table. It shouldn’t be overlooked that he made such an impressive transition from one side of the ball to the other.
If you ask The Star’s Kent Babb, I’m sure he’ll tell you that Jeanpierre will be taking Brian Waters’ job in no time.
