The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with undrafted free agent OT Mike Ingersoll from North Carolina.
You can see his UNC profile here.
The two-year starter reportedly ran a 5.04 40-yard dash at his pro day, which would have been the fourth best time among offensive linemen at the NFL Draft Combine. When you can carry over 300 pounds around on a nearly 6-5 frame at that kind of speed, it’s never a bad bet.
Though he only has experience his four years at North Carolina at tackle and a little tight end early, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if new offensive coordinator wants to look at Ingersoll as guard. Given his chances to make the roster, I have to imagine he will line up anywhere if it means he ends up on the 53-man.
