As the Chiefs continued their preparations for the Jaguars, they were able to remove Chris Chambers, Tyson Jackson and Ryan O’Callaghan from their injury report. That leaves just two players on the list as all 61 took part in some portion of practice.
After Chris Chambers and Lewis jumped on the list last week I thought maybe the Chiefs were finally going to catch up to the rest of the league in the way of injuries. Instead they are going in the other direction with only Langford officially limited in any way.
There were several reports that WR Jeremy Horne is wearing a walking boot, so I would assume he will be added to the list before kickoff. After impressing in training camp, Horne has yet to have any impact during the regular season, so his addition shouldn’t be seen as much of a setback.
O’Callaghan, Jackson and Chambers could all return to the starting lineup, finally allowing Todd Haley to see both sides of the football as he and his staff imagined during the offseason.
All in all, the Chiefs are looking good on the injury front.
