8 Chiefs On First Injury Report Of The Season

We have the first injury report of the 2013 season for the Kansas City Chiefs and there are two starters, both on the offensive line, included. Of the two, only G Jon Asamoah was unable to practice and should be considered unlikely to play this weekend.

The good news for the Chiefs is five of the eight players on the injury report were able to practice fully and shouldn’t have any trouble getting on the field if their number is called against the Jacksonvillve Jaguars.

Other than Asamoah, the other Kansas City players that didn’t practice were LB Nico Johnson (ankle) and DE Allen Bailey (personal).

Head coach Andy Reid hoped Johnson could practice Wednesday, so there’s a chance he can still get it together before the week is out. Bailey is dealing with the death of his father and will take all the time he needs to be with his family.

The Jaguars have seven players on their injury report, including starting quarterback Blaine Gabbart, who is still trying to work through thumb injury.

Take a look at the full reports for both teams.
