The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in a unique position this weekend: favored to win! The Chiefs not been favorites at any point this season and to find the last time they weren’t underdogs, you have to go back to Week 16 of last season.
And though the Chiefs are favored in the 107th all-time matchup with the Raiders, it’s only by two points. That view of oddsmakers is despite a league-worst 1-5 record, including an ugly 0-3 in Kansas City.
The Raiders haven’t spent as much time as underdogs as Romeo Crennel’s crew, but it’s not completely unfamiliar to them either. Oakland has split time evenly over the first six games between being the underdog and the favorite.
Back when the Chiefs were favored last season, it was against this same Raiders team. Like this game, Kansas City was a slight two point favorite at Arrowhead back in Week 16 when Oakland handed the Chiefs a devastating 16-13 overtime loss.
The Chiefs are 2-4 against the spread and 1-2 ATS at home this season.
