The Carolina Panthers have signed former Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Manno. He joined the Chiefs during training camp last season and appeared in two preseason games without making a catch.
It’s easy to pull for guys like Manno. The wide receiver was never a star during his time at Hofstra, but went on to be an Arena Football League 2 All-Pro before finding his way to Kansas City.
He was out of football last season and was training at IMG Sports Academy in Florida when he signed with the Panthers. Giving him a leg up on the rest of the Carolina roster long shots, Manno has already caught passes from Cam Newton while both were training at IMG.
