Chiefs Sign WR Chris Manno
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed an All-Pro free agent wide receiver!
No, Randy Moss isn’t coming out of retirement. The team announced they have signed WR Chris Manno, formerly of the Arena Football 2 league. He was named an All-Pro for catching 70 passes, including 10 touchdowns.
The 5-foot-10 Manno played his college ball at Hofstra, but was far from a star. His best season was as a senior — in 2007 — when he caught 16 passes for 138 yards and no touchdowns. Manno also carried the ball three tiems that year for -10 yards.
It’s no secret how hard it is to make it in the NFL as an undrafted free agent, but I don’t know that we can put into context how much harder it is three years AFTER you were an undrafted free agent.
