Colts Lose Starting Safety (Again)

The Indianapolis Colts are already playing without All-Pro safety Bob Sanders and now Adam Schefter is reporting the man that took his place been lost to a shoulder injury.

Colts S Melvin Bullitt, Bob Sanders’ replacement and Indy’s special team captain, is out for season with broken bone in his right shoulder.

Former Chiefs safety DaJuan Morgan will get more snaps with Bullitt out of the picture, but he is no lock to start despite what others are reporting.

Head Coach Jim Caldwell might prefer to use Brandon King, who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, in place of Bullitt.  Morgan is an intriguing option to go up against the offense he saw in practice throughout training camp, but not a sure thing if King is healthy.
