During the Kansas City Chiefs rookie mini-camp over the weekend Hampton University QB David LeGree was the only signal caller on the roster. Not having another QB around allowed him to be the only tryout player invited to stay the entire weekend.
Even with the extra reps, LeGree left Kansas City without a contract and, at least for the foreseeable future, will not be joining the Chiefs. That’s because he’s off the market after signing a deal with the Indianapolis Colts.
LeGree will be working with the Colts before Andrew Luck, who is still at Stanford until June working on finishing his degree in Architectural Design.
The Chiefs will want to bring a fourth quarterback to training camp and LeGree could still be that player if he is unable to stick with the Colts deep into the summer.
