Draft: Chiefs To Work Out Everette Brown

Scout.com is reporting the Kansas City Chiefs will work out Florida State DE/OLB Everette Brown on Thursday.  brown2Brown, 6-foot-4 and 252 pounds, had 13.5 sacks last season to go along with 21.5 tackles for losses.

Scouts Inc. draft guru Todd McShay currently has Brown rated as the 17th player in his Top 32, but pegged him to be drafted No. 11 to the Bills in his latest mock (Insider).

Meanwhile, Mel Kiper does not have Brown coming off the board until No. 30 to the Tennessee Titans.

Scott Pioli is definitely covering all his options on the defensive side of the ball.  Brown is a very good prospect, but certainly not an option for #3 overall.  If the Chiefs choose to trade down in the first round, Brown could be the target and a great fit as the defense transitions from 4-3 to 3-4.
