Dwayne Bowe AFC Offensive Player Of The Week

On the heels of his first Pro Bowl invitation, Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time as well, the team announced Wednesday.

Bowe (6-2, 221) recorded six receptions for 153 yards (25.5 avg.) against the Titans, including a career-long 75-yard TD pass.  Bowe’s 153 receiving yards were the third-highest single-game total of his career, marking his fifth 100-yard game of the season and the 10th 100-yard performance of his career.  He has started all 15 games this season, catching 67 passes for a career-high 1,094 yards with an NFL-high 15 TDs, the highest single-season total in Chiefs history.

Quite a way to cap a big week for Bowe and the Chiefs.  The big win to lock up the AFC West, then then Pro Bowl invite and now being honored as Player of the Week.

I’m sure Bowe would like to add to his stats against the Raiders to add to all of his career-highs, but hopefully he will see limited action in preparation for the playoffs.
