Three Chiefs Starters Unable To Practice

The Kansas City Chiefs are facing a quick turnaround this week and were without three starters at their first practice. Overall the team listed eight players on the initial injury report.

OT Branden Albert, TE Anthony Fasano and CB Brandon Flowers all were unable to practice Monday. Albert (shoulder) and Fasano (ankle) had to leave Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Being without their top two tight ends is what led to Andy Reid bringing in free agent Kevin Brock.

Rookie LB Nico Johnson was a full participant and should be healthy enough to play Thursday night. The question remains if he’s prepared enough to suit up after he seemed poised to make his debut last week but was still on the inactive list.

For the first time this season, the Chiefs were able to keep G Jon Asamoah off the injury report. They also were able to remove RB Jamaal Charles after he spent last week listed thanks to a quad injury.
