Fisher, the Chiefs starting right tackle, is dealing with a sore right shoulder, something head coach Andy Reid described as a bruise.
“It’s not structural, it’s a muscle bruise,” Reid told reporters. “We’ll get it settled down, It’s day-by-day. I think he’ll be all right.”
Neither injury was bad enough to knock Fisher out of Friday’s game.
He played the same amount of snaps as the rest of the starters and says he’ll be ready to make his Arrowheaad debut this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers.
Any time Fisher misses this week or in the next couple of weeks before the regular season starts could be helpful to his backup, Donald Stephenson. The second-year tackle just got back on the field after missing time with an injury of his own and could certainly use the extra reps.
