There is one less Kansas City Chiefs connection to Super Bowl XLV with the word that LB Erik Walden is inactive today for the Green Bay Packers.
Walden suffered a high-ankle sprain in the NFC Championship against the Bears and was hopeful that the week off between games would be enough to get him back on the field. After not being able to practice all week, Walden was deemed a game-time decision, a decision that ended up pacing him on the inactive list.
Leading up to today’s game, I thought that Walden would find a way to get out on the field but we saw this season with Dexter McCluster just how difficult it is for a player to come back from a high ankle sprain.
With Walden out, that leaves the only former Chiefs player suiting up for the Packers is TE Tom Crabree.
