The debate regarding Tennessee safety Eric Berry has been if he is worth the fifth overall selection in the draft. But what if he isn’t available to take? ESPN’s Adam Schefter thinks the Redskins could have a surprise in store and the Washington Post believes the chances are good that Berry is the pick.
70 percent. The personable Berry impressed during his visit to the complex, and his off-the-chart ability jumped out at the Redskins on film. They’ll be torn about possibly passing on Berry. If the Redskins decide not to take a tackle at No. 4, however, we wouldn’t be surprised if Berry is their guy.
Well wouldn’t that be something. Over the past few weeks there has been little — if any — talk about Berry being off the board when the Chiefs pick.
If Berry is gone, that opens the door for a guy like Rolando McClain. It would also give Pioli his choice of tackles if he really does want to move Brandon Albert off of left tackle.
