Trio Of Chiefs On First Injury Report

As the Kansas City Chiefs started their preparations on the practice field to take on the New York Jets, just three names have found their way onto the first injury report.

Demorrio Williams was a limited participant at the beginning of last week leading up to the Bears game before being upgraded to a full participant but still left inactive on Sunday.  The reserve linebacker is still on the injury report with a groin issue but is again a full participant.

Casey Wiegmann and Kyle Orton were both listed as limited participants in practice.  Wiegmann is dealing with a finger injury that has yet to keep him from continuing his streak of 171 consecutive starts and over 10,000 straight snaps.  Orton was knocked out of last week’s game after one play thanks to a dislocated finger and his availability against the Jets is still very much in question.

Much like the Chiefs last AFC East opponent — the New England Patriots — the Jets are sporting a massive injury report with 16 players.  While the biggest names — Shonn Greene, Nick Mangold, LaDainian Tomlinson — were all full participants, New York had six players either limited or unable to practice.
