Baldwin Finally Upgraded On Chiefs Injury Report

For the first time since the beginning of the preseason, the Kansas City Chiefs had first round draft pick Jonathan Baldwin on the field as a full participant in practice.  He’s been out with a thumb injury suffered in an altercation with Thomas Jones, but finally appears ready to contribute.

The other good news on the injury front involves a player that wasn’t on the injury report at all: Brandon Flowers.  The cornerback hurt his ankle against the San Diego Chargers after making an interception and was forced to spend the rest of the game on the sideline.  Flowers fought back to play last week against the Minnesota Vikings despite spending the entire week on the injury report and now he’s been removed completely.

Terrance Copper and Jon McGraw were the only Chiefs other than Baldwin to appear on the injury report with Copper sitting out due to an illness.

The Indianapolis Colts are dealing with quite a few more names on their injury report.  They listed 11 players with seven of those failing to participate in practice and two others in a limited capacity.

Besides carrying the momentum of a win, the Chiefs are finally healthier than an opponent after dealing with some major injuries
