Julian Battle, a third round pick for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2003 was arrested on Saturday for resisting an officer with violence and simple assault, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Jail records show Battle, 29, whose address is listed as The Acreage, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 4 a.m. Saturday.
He was still there Saturday evening, held in lieu of $3,000 bail.
His NFL career ended after he missed the Chiefs’ 2005 season with a torn Achilles tendon.
Want yet another reason why the labor issues between the players and owners need to get resolved? A player that hasn’t been associated with the Chiefs in six years wouldn’t be news.
Get that deal done, folks!
