And then there were none.
Shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs announced their lone remaining restricted free agent, Brandon Carr, signed his tender, word started to leak out that they have agreed to terms with their only unsigned draft pick, Justin Houston. Not only was Houston the last of the Chiefs picks to sign, but also one of the last in the entire league.
Houston’s deal is four four years worth $2.786 million including a $671,248 signing bonus.
In a 24 hour period, Romeo Crennel’s defense added Tamba Hali, Carr and Houston. Not a bad haul for a unit that is looking to take that next step this season to the top 10 in the league.
I can’t wait to see this complete defense out on the field together as the Chiefs get ready to defend their division championship.
