With the fourth pick (36 overall) in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected RB Dexter McCluster from Ole Miss.
Scouts Inc. assigned a rating of 79 to McCluster and ranked him as the 5th best running back.

A bit high for a jack-of-most trades type guy? Yes, but the Chiefs have been lacking playmakers for years and they now have two in Jamaal Charles and McCluster.
A week ago word came that McCluster’s draft stock was quickly rising and that Pioli would have to reach a little if he really liked him. Well, he clearly liked him.
The Chiefs have been one of the worst return teams in the league and those days are over. McCluster immediately becomes Todd Haley’s version of Percy Harvin.
This move also allows Jamaal Charles to concentrate solely on running the football. Even with Thomas Jones in the fold, Charles could not survive as a contributor on special teams and in the running game.
Scott Pioli went to the best conference in the NCAA with his first two picks and won’t regret either one.
