Kansas City Chiefs Select Kendrick Lewis, S, Ole Miss

With the 5th pick (136 overall) in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected S Kendrick Lewis from Ole Miss.

Scouts Inc. assigned a rating of 56 to Lewis and ranked him as the 13th best safety.

You can check out his School profile here.

Once again, the Chiefs go to the SEC and select a team captain.

Lewis is a tackling machine in the best conference in the country as he led Mississippi in tackles each of his final two seasons on campus.  He also blocked two kicks last year and should be a special teams star from day one.

You could do a lot worse that Lewis in the fifth round, but if you are going to take another safety, why not roll the dice on Myron Rolle?  You want to talk about high character guys that can play the game, Rolle is the perfect example.
