The Kansas City Chiefs are one player closer to training camp roster maximum 90 after signing DL Amon Gordon. The veteran has seen action in 17 games with five different teams since 2004, most recently with the Seattle Seahawks last season.
Gordon’s best season was with the Denver Broncos in 2007-08 when he had 13 tackles in four games.
With Kelly Gregg set to step in and start at nose tackle in Romeo Crennel’s 3-4 defense, only Jerrell Powe is guaranteed a spot behind him. If the Chiefs decide to keep another tackle, Gordon’s experience could give him a bit of an edge over the younger players in camp trying to show they can handle playing inside..
