The Kansas City Chiefs have released WR Keary Colbert to make room for QB Kyle Orton, who was claimed off waivers from the Denver Broncos.
Colbert appeared in seven games for the Chiefs this season, catching nine passes for 89 yards and no touchdowns. The receiver had been inactive the last two weeks and had trouble finding a spot with rookie Jonathan Baldwin back and healthy.
The fact that he was able to spend any time on the Chiefs 53-man roster at all is a great story. Just last season the former second-round pick was coaching tight ends at USC. A YouTube video led to a shot with the Chiefs and he certainly made the most of his opportunity.
