The Kansas City Chiefs made a minor roster move on Wednesday when they signed free agent WR Zeke Markshausen.
The former Northwestern star was with the Chiefs in training camp before being released during final cuts. Markshausen re-joined Kansas City in November when he was added to the practice squad and cut a week later.
None of us should be surprised we keep hearing Markshausen’s name because he is used to fighting against the odds on the football field. He walked on at Northwestern and ended up turning in one of the best seasons in school history his senior year with 91 catches.
In three preseason games with the Chiefs in 2011 the wide receiver caught three passes for 21 yards.
