Kansas City Chiefs Cut 14 Players

The Kansas City Chiefs have cut their roster down to the NFL maximum of 75 by releasing 14 players.

None of the players cut loose were considered contenders for a spot on the final 53-man roster. The sole Chiefs draft pick to get the book was 2011 7th round selection Shane Bannon and the only player with any game experience with Kansas City is Jeremy Horne.

Those that survived the first round of cuts still have a lot of sweating to do. The Chiefs will have to go from 75 to 53 on Friday just hours after playing their final preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.
